Map and table due Monday:

Here's some extra explanation for MAP #1:

You might pick "literacy" to represent on the map. You wouldn't put the stats on the map - you would group the countries by percentage. First you decide upon your "intervals" and then make a legend. In this case, I would divide it into ten-10% increments. You might want to go as low as 5% increments. Assign each a colour.

Your legend might look like this:

0-5=yellow
6-10=orange
11-15=red
16-20=burgundy
21-25=brown
26-30=grey
...
95-100=green

Then, label the countries (very neatly) on the list and colour the map (very neatly) to correspond with your legend... For example, Canada would be coloured green. I hope this helps.

Question #2. b (handout): The theme is GDP, PER CAPITA. Remember to make a legend comparing high and low GDP, per capita... (CIA website or Global Health Facts).
