CW Test: Thursday, period 1

Owen told me about when he drove and hitched across the bottom of Australia in 1997, from Esperance to Adelaide, then on to Melbourne. This included the Great Victoria Desert!

Test:
Your test will consist of five multiple choice questions, 10 short answer questions, and a map (physical features, bodies of water, populated regions). Study your reading (Handout: "Crowding our Planet"), class notes, and the map of physical features. The review questions from the notes serve as a guide as to the test content.

1. Multiple choice & short-answer questions (32 marks):
-population statistics (numbers: world, projected, certain countries)
-comparison of population in developed, developing and LDCs
-factors of population growth  or decline in various regions or countries
-the link between physical features and population distribution.

2. Map (15 marks):
Locate:
-bodies of water: Gulf of Guinea, oceans...
-physical features: deserts, mountain chains, forested areas...
