Motivation

You've got to read about Samantha Garvey, an American high school student, who was recently announced to be a semi-finalist for, "the prestigious Intel Science Talent Search while living with her family in a homeless shelter."

Remember all that talk about globalisation? And how are world is more interconnected than ever before? This article, in the Globe and Mail, discusses how the euro crisis has and will affect the Canadian economy - to the tune of 10 billion dollars.

The governor of the Bank of Canada worries about the amount of household debt that Canadians carry. It also seems that our consumer spending is growing. This all makes for an ominous economic outlook in 2012.

And what do you think about this editorial - that Quebec's Anglophone minority is one of the worst treated official-language minority groups in Canada?
