The purpose of this page is to feature readings and video clips about contemporary global social, political and economic issues, as well as current and historical events. Links are provided to helpful and interesting websites, and to various respected news sources from around the world. This site is also meant to help students keep track of their work and to keep parents informed. I am available for extra help during my remediation time.
Haha! Summer's going pretty good; I just finished working at Knowlton Packaging for the summer, and now I have a week off before school starts. :) I'm so excited! What about you? Any vacations to exotic locales? New experiences?
Summer's been great! Enjoy your week off - you won't come up for air till December (if you're serious...)! Where will you be living?
I went to Europe for a couple of weeks. Saw some cool stuff. First week in Belgium. Rainy & grey. Did some WWI stuff - you'd have loved it. Vimy Ridge = very impressive. Then I ate my fact off for a week in Italy. Sunny & divine. :)
Living just a few blocks away from Abbott in Sainte-Anne. Nice, quiet little town: it reminds me a little bit of the townships. You have NO IDEA how jealous I am! Belgium is on my bucket list, which might be happening for at least the next few years. Nonetheless, you're right, I would have fallen in love with the place. And I'm serious about not having to listen to Ms. Owen shouting "ALRIGHT! 300 WARMUP!" until December. :P Ha! Have fun teaching this year, Ms. V. Don't stop with the trips, I love to hear about them! :)
96% with Jill Stein and 90% with Barack Obama. Haha, and 97% for the Democrats and 4% for the Republicans. Apparently I side with Ron Paul on foreign policy issues. :O
I got Jill Stein (90%) and Obama (84%). It's pretty accurate! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of what I got... except with Ron Paul between... WTH? How's summer?

Hey Matt! Have you tried the political compass for the Quebec election? I might put it up on this site...
Delete96 per cent, eh? Maybe you are a loopy-lefty? :) How's summer (other than almost over...)?
