Importance of travel: A message to my secondary 5's

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Amen to that! Travel gives one the opportunity to visit different cultures, to taste new foods, and to meet new friends. Now that you have sparked my desire to travel again, I realize how little time and money I now have. If you want, Ms. V, you can offer to take the entire secondary five on a trip! Please and thank you! :P

    1. Nathan: Give it time. You'll have as much time and as much money as you'll need. Prioritize your needs and wants and save for the things you'll learn most from: travel and education. Material things are unimportant - you don't NEED an iPhone, you don't need the latest X-Box, right? When I was 15, I saved for 3 years for my first trip across the Atlantic. Can you put 20$ a week aside over the next few years... Do you have a job? Enjoy your long weekend. DW.

  2. I already plan on traveling after college! :)
Hopefully I'll be able to volunteer in an organization so I can make a real difference.
...I've realized that a lot of the closed minded people in our world never leave the area they were born in.
